Bio

Lee Miller Matsos is a musical theater performer turned alternative pop-rock artist. His ethereal, emotional musical style and expressive flair is a product of his extensive theatrical background. As a lyricist, Lee uniquely expresses the evolving, non-linear journey from grief, pain, and brokenness to hope, healing and restoration.

Lee’s musical journey began forming from his childhood years, when he watched legends Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis, Jr. perform. As a teen and young adult, Lee thrived as a musical theater and operatic performer, studying at San Francisco Conservatory of Music before beginning his evolution to the contemporary music world. Primed by his rich life experience and the music of U2, Coldplay, Paul Simon, Eric Clapton, and others, Lee set out to chart his path for his music career when he enrolled at Berklee partner school Holland College in 2019. There, in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, he wrote most of the Metamorphosis album. Lee released the first installment as an EP on Sept. 8, 2023. The Metamorphosis, Pt. 2 EP dropped Sept. 6, 2024, and the third and final Metamorphosis EP arrived Aug. 14, 2026.

Lee’s artistic journey continues to unfold as an unlikely and non-linear process of discovery.

This EP symbolizes the final phase of metamorphosis, the emergence from the cocoon.

Each of us is a process. We are not in a fixed, solid state. Our lives and bodies are in a constant state of flow. There are seasons in life when transformation becomes not only possible, but necessary. We pay attention, increase our awareness, and become mindful of the seeds we are planting—because the seeds we plant affect our lives tomorrow or ten years from now.

The question is not, “Why did this happen to me?”

It’s, “What am I planting now?”

We are always planting something.

Life will always respond.
